| Phung left to Vietnam last night on Tuesday @ 2:10 am. She's leaving for study abroad for 4 months. We'll see her back after Christmas. My whole family took her to the airport...mann...the road construction got me lost!! O_o Ofcourse I was driving and it's my first time driving to Sea Tac Airport.....everyone was talking and I WAS talking <LOL>....so I didn't pay attention where I was going. Everyone told me this lane..no that line...I was like right or left??!! As a driver, I was so frustrated. arrrghhh ...So much noises....It was dark and I took a later exit and head back. Everything was fine. Phung got a lot of stuff of handle on her trip there since she brought 2 large luggage full of gifts for the relatives, 1 small luggage for herself, and a backpack with her daily supplies! The guy that checked her in thought 4 of us are going off. hehehehe. Then we waited in line....there were a lot of people, but I guess it wasn't crowded at all. The line was moving fast. It's weird cuz all these travelers are all by themselves!!! Phung's the only one w/ family members waiting around. <shrug>. I guess they must travel often or it's just me? ..hmm...anyways. We waved goodbye to Phung when she stepped through that gate. Bye Phung!!!!! Then we head home. | | |
| Nothing much is happening today. I'm at work right now...after work I'm going to head to UMC to volunteer...then finally I can go home and get some rest. Oh!! I gotta watch "So You Think You Can Dance" tonite!!! I love that show ^_^. ...and I gotta get back to finish up this ribbon heart I'm making for Thai ..been putting it off for a while...just the beading needs to be added that's all. Well, this is mainly my daily schedule for the summer...and hangout with Thai between here and there. | | |
| Today, I went to watch Thai and his kung-fu buddies known as "The Unique Method" peformed lion dancing and some kung-fu forms at a very simple American wedding. Everybody dressed very casual..the wedding took place outside and it was really nice. We got to eat after the performance and each of us got to take home the wine glass with cute souvenirs. It was the tradition that each guest brings one home. They were nice...except that their bulldog was kinda intimidating!!! Anyways, the lion dancing was great...except the spaces were a bit small for two lions. There were many in-the-air poses, which was different compare to other times. I enjoyed it a whole lot! They're getting paid to do this, which isn't so bad. Thai was playing the butt of the lion this time and he did his sword form. hehehee.
Then afterwards, we went to Cynthia's 21st b-day. There were a lot of ppl! I enjoyed seeing some friends from high school and it was nice getting to know other people as well. I didn't do much, sat around and watched Thai and his buddies do kung-fu tricks and stuff. It was hilarious!! ^_^
| WooOw 0_o. It's been 2 yrs since I haven't touch xanga!!! It sounds bad...but I guess I kind of forgot about it. ^_^. But now I'm back since this is my first summer break since college. Thai and I did zillions of things during this time....not huge, but cute fun things.
I'm actually enjoying my summer, it feels good being out of school for a few months! My biggest plans this summer are to volunteer and travel outside of Seattle. Hehehhe. I'm currently volunteering @ the UW Medical Center doing Escort and assisting in the Maternity and Child Care Dept. It's ok so far.
Thai joined Kung-Fu again this year. He's done a lot of lion dancing performances in Seattle with his kung-fu buddies. They're actually getting paid for it!! They've saved up and bought a new ~$900 lion!!!! So expensive!!!!
